Love the pose and light Chris and it really pops from the sky BG...Is it a large crop? The IQ is not up to your usual high standard! TFS Chris!
Thanks Dumay appreciate your input. It's not too much of large crop about 40% cut off from the original. I will have another look at it thanks

Hi Chris, I have been wondering where you have been - been pretty quiet, but this answers where you were hanging out.I like the V shape of the wings on touch down, and these guys have lovely red eyes. Nice and sharp too.
Probably catch up at AR soon.![]()

excellent pose and light but the image isn't very sharp as presented, I would check the RAW again

I like the wing position, landing pose and red eye. Nice image.
An image i would love to have and may try for soon. Inspiring.
My immediate impression was that there is a little detail missing, I too wondered about the crop size, in any event I think it would look a little better if it was a bit smaller in the frame. I would like to see a repost, I suspect this is a really good image.
No worries Chris. Also a very nice sharp image. Your underwing blacks are more pronounced than the one I got. Must be an age thing :-).
Chris, a very unique wing position. great light. If IQ is suffering due to crop, you can go with less cropping...this will look fine with more room around.
Nice composition and excellent expsoure control and sharpness.
Lovely wing display wish had better eye contact .
Thanks for all the comments. Yep I'll have another look at the raw file and follow the advice given.
