    Default Black Shoulderd Kite

This image of a Black Shouldered Kite was shot in the last light of the day while on a trip to the Kgalagadi. The bird was looking for dinner and was moving about a bit. I like this one of the series because of the nice light under the wings and the pose. I considered cloning out the branch on the left, but like the angle as it is complimentary to the angle to the branch on the right.

Awesome landing pose captured Neal well exposed and super light. My apologies I also posted a Kite and only saw this pose after I uploaded and could not remove it

Hi Neal, sweet light, and well timed to capture the full wingspread. I like the extended legs and the open talons ready for the touch down. I appreciate you leaving the branches on the left, but as they are 'floating' and not attached to anything, I would remove them if you are ok with it.

I like the outstretched talons, fanned tail, wing position and red eye. I agree with Stuart on removing the branches on the left. Well done Neal!

Great light and pose. Good job protecting the whites. Killer eye. I also like those branches in the corner. If mine, I'd have a little more room on the right.
