    Default Morro Rock HDR Grunge

    The originals for this three frame HDR were created with the tripod-mounted Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens and the EOS-5D Mark III. ISO 400. AEB +/- 2 full stops around Evaluative metering +1 stop: 1/4 sec. at f/11. Assembled in Photomatix Pro using the Enhancer Grunge pre-set. Save 15% by entering BIRDSASART as the Coupon Code.

    The subdued colors are beautiful. I can see all kinds of things in those rock formations. I'm particularly fascinated by the "eye" in the LLC.

    I see the eye too! Very nice composition and details. I like the way you processed this with the grunge look. I might pull the curve down slightly if it were mine. Great eye for this one.

    Very nice, Artie. The grunge look certainly rocks! (I wouldn't have thought of it ) I like the light coming from the left. Excellent processing.

    Hi Arthur, I quite like this. The grunge works very well for this intimate landscape. I am assuming that the yellow on the rocks is a form of lichen...I love it, it is my favorite element in the composition.

    Thanks Andrew. I think that there is lots of lichen there. My favorite thing about the composition is the composition itself :). I looked at the much bigger Morro Rock--the thing is huge, and this particular patterned area just jumped out at me..... Then framing and set-up and off to the races. The soft light helped quite a bit.
