    Default Blackchinned Hummingbird

My Hummingbird season began yesterday and thought I would post the most recent additon to my H-bird gallery.

This image was shot on my backporch, with 7D, 500L, tripod, wireless shutter release @ iso 200, f9 and 1/200. 4 flashes radio triggered, all settings on manual and processed in Lightroom (crop, clarity, vibrance and sharpening). The back ground is potted flowers.

The HB and the flowers he is visiting are fantastic. The bg is overpowering imo. Excellent flash work.

Hi Bob - what a gorgeous shot--excellent sharpness and detail of both bird and flowers. Agree about the background being a bit too overpowering.

Bob, great lighting and image quality. The bg is certainly an eye catcher.

Bob, the eye follows light and color, and in this image I feel that the flowers and bg are overpowering. The little hummer seems lost in the sea of color and light. Are you going to Bosque in November?

Thanks all for the comments. My backgrounds are usually a mix of colorful and simple green flowers and plants--Looks Like I overloaded my background plants with the colorful ones this time. Next time I set up I'll thin the color out a bit more.

    Thanks again for the comments,

    Bob
