I can see why you love your camera. You captured beautiful details of fur & whiskers with a great bow wave.
Hi Dan, love these guys, the smoothness of the water works well against the lines and detail of the subject. Sharpening is always difficult with wet fur, but looks OK, might perhaps add a fraction more in Curves, just to add a bit more on the 'pop' factor? Personally would remove the three vertical lines just below the bottom bow wave.
Hope to see more if possible of the playful character.

Hi Dan - always fun to see otters. I too like the comp and bow wave. Good suggestions by Steve for taking this to the next level.

Thanks for the comments, I will try the suggestion.

A very nice picture. But are you sure it's an otter? They usually have much denser fur, which makes their small ears obvious and have white whiskers. Are you sure it's not a muskrat or another rodent?
Egil, I am glad you asked, I wondered about it also. At first I thought it was a Nutria, but it is not one, it dived
repeatedly, was small and had a thicker furred tail. It does not look like a muskrat either. I have no idea, if it is
not an otter, I cannot think of anything else in my area that it could be.
