    Default Short Billed Dowicher

I think this is a short billed, but I am not sure. It walked by very close to me; almost FF. I was sitting on this file for a long time, wasn't sure if I like it or not due to the "dirty" beak, but at the end I think it is an interesting image. Let me know what you guys think.

Nice portrait. I love the fether details and eye contact, Lorant. Yes, the beak is not the most appealing but it is natural to see them like this.

Very good exp., nice and sharp. It looks like he has had that beak all the way in the muck. I like it.

    Cool portrait!!
The dirty bill shows just how deep the bird is working for it's meal.

Thanks everyone for the comments. True, the photo shows how the bird really is....a dirty billed one:-). It was digging real deep right before the photo was taken, so the leaves stayed on the beak.

    Thanks again.

    Lorant
