Nice gliding pose, sharp, DOF works. Little tight in the frame and would prefer the wings up or down to capture all that beautiful detail.

Gary hit all the important points in his critique. Nice breeding colors as well. I don't remember seeing the dark on the front of the lower mandible, wonder if it comes from feeding, or if it is a regional variant?
Cheers

Nice details in the white, despite the strong light. Nice gliding pose.

I like the gliding pose. I am assuming wings were clipped in other frames :-) happens too often with Pelicans. Interesting choice of f-stop..certainly helped here for covering the near wing. And your low angle ensured that BG blur is still nice after stopping so much down.
Nice breeding 'hump', exposure and eye.
Randy, the black color is something they get in breeding season.

Hi Mark, its always good to get these guys in flight, and a nice low flight angle across the water. Whites look good, sharp where it counts, and I do like the eye.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the comments.
Ill try opening up the crop a bit. Yes, it's easy to clip the wings on these guys when they go full stretch, especially up. I've got some more shots to go through, think I may have a couple more good ones.

Mark
