    Sanjeev,

Love the composition I might take a bit off the top and remove the dark hole above the bird's head. Try this, take a piece of paper and place it on the edges and tell me what might improve the image - what might put more focus on the subject and create less distractions for the viewer. That is your homework assignment and we will go from there.

One more part of your assignment, tell me more about the metering and exposure mode and why did you select such a high ISO.

Hello Sanjeev, - I will wait for your response to the homework before I comment on the exposure. What program did you copy the exif data from? I find it odd that we see numbers like this - ".002 sec (1/640)". This must be the new math, because it can't be both. Seems like 1/500 to me! This is a tough image, with the really bright bg in the upper right. A closer perspective, with the bg eliminated, would be ideal.

Thanks Jeff & Kerry, I admit the BG is distracting on the right side. I did as you suggested Jeff and I found that a tighter crop eliminating the right side looked better. I think I must have gone for this crop with the rule of thirds in mind. I used spot meter and Av mode. The cam jacked up the ISO, due to spot metering??
Kerry, I copy exif data from Flickr where I upload all my photos. I did go for a tighter crop with a closer perspective and it does look much better, only I can't repost the edited version as the site does not allow that till another day :-(
    regards
    Sanjeev
