Default Great Grey Owl in the grey

went a long weekend to Sweden for this owl, here in very poor light I choose to compensate +1.3 to get this grey snowy atmosphere.
    Exif: Canon 7D with Canon 500mm F4 L IS @ ISO 800, F4, 1/130, +1.3

We also photographed Moose, Northern Hawk Owl and Ural Owl, those photo's are on www.ltdphoto.com

    thanks for watching
    kind regards

Wonderful image love the included habitat and sense of environment the image conveys. To bad this image will be passed up by members who do not click on post without a thumbnail.

Fantastic! One of the best images I have seen of this bird. Love the moody tones and what great eye contact.

Lesley, you should be happy...in fact you should be jumping like a crazy person :-) absolutely loved this one. perfect habitat shot. owl is sharp...BG has right amount of blur in the right places....composition is perfect. great feel...If you had posted at 1024-wide, it would have had more impact.
