    Default Dudley Farm #2

Second in my series of Dudley Farm with Maureen. This was one of the gardens by the house and it was a 5 image HDR processed in Photomatix. I did a slight Orton effect, slightly desaturated, and finally Topaz Simplify. I think you could spend days there and never scratch the surface. It is a State Park and last year was on a list of parks to be de-funded by the state. Luckily that didn't happen but it would be sad if it did.

Wow Cheryl, I love this. The image has wonderful depth. I love the light and the scene! A small white piece under the bottom branch on right that I would evict before printing and I would print this it's just beautiful.

Denise, good eye. I'll definitely evict it! (And thank you.)

Hi Cheryl, very nice work indeed. If it were mine I might evict the half bucket in the lower left as well...but that's just me.

This would be an attractive image without it, but the element that grabs my attention is the unknown world through the opening. It's just dark enough not to reveal what's there, and it makes me curious. Normally, I wouldn't put a strong vertical element on the left side of an image. Nevertheless, I just had to flip it horizontally to see what happened. Sure enough, it makes the opening even more compelling. To me, at least . . .

If you keep these nice Dudley Farm images coming, you'll attract such a crowd the state might even decide to increase the funding.
