This image was from last weekend--a lot of willets and ruddy turnstones feeding in the muddy marsh. I know the background is less than desirable, but I liked the image otherwise. C&C appreciated.

    Cathy,

First thing that comes to mind is the foreground, all that OOF stuff distracts the eye; I would crop at least half out of the frame. Another options would be to work the URHC to help balance the frame - no big deal. I like the f/8 choice good DoF and the background is somewhat muted. Nice detail for 600MM of focal length on moving water. The colors are splendid and love the low angle - well done.

Hi Cathy, it is a very nice image - good job! You have excellent control of the whites, good color rendition and exposure, and a nice pose with good head angle. Lots to like! Jeff has good points, especially regarding the URC, where you could clone out the blue sky.

Thanks very much Jeff and Kerry for your feedback and suggestions. Will definitely crop some of the OOF foreground out, but I'm not sure what URHC stands for.

Cathy, sorry - URC = Upper Right-Hand Corner.
