I always enjoy eye-level hippo images, Dumay, and this one is nice! Lovely light and detail. Good choice to crop to pano - might do even more from the bottom? WDYT?

Dumay - great light, detail and pov. Nicely done. I like this comp but also think Morkel's suggestion would work.

Absolutely LOVE this perspective, but my first thought after how much I loved it was that it needed some off of the bottom. This is very powerful with wonderful details, esp those hairs on the ears.

Thanks for the comments folks! I will look at the sugestions. I wanted to try make the viewr feel they were in the water with the Hippo and that you would see water and space in front of you.

Colour, detail, sharpening and 'blurring' () all look spot on Dumay, love the light and sheen on the hide. Re crops, both work well.

    You've nailed this one.
