Normally when we have some branches in a picture the result is that we try to clone them away. In this case I think that the branches are a major aced to this picture because the female owl uses it as a hide away place and it looks funny the way she does:D

Agree Alexander !!!! She does look comical !!!!

You do have branches but I'm not getting the feeling of cluttering !!! The foreground branch she is using to hide has color and is in sharp focus Love their complementing expressions Very good exposure and sharpness You sure do well with that converter !!!!

Beautiful. The full on branches don't bother me a bit and I agree that they add to the feeling of the image.

There are, however, comma, pause for effect, a few spindly, webby looking things here and there that I would definitely get rid of as they almost look like gunk on the sensor (even though they are not). Right above the adults head on left and a bit more to the upper left corner there are a couple and then one more above the little one just higher than the green leaves to the right of the head.

Hi Alexander. I like it and do not mind the branches. I wish that you had gotten 1/2 inch lower so that the female's head was not showing above the branch. The female needs to be brightened up a bit. Did yuo use flash here? It looks as if the flash hit the male but not the female... IAC, I am glad that I saw this on the way to Chris's Bee-eater trio I might opt to lose the center foreground branch...
