Very nice, Mitch! Great pose and POV, and like the composition you created. Love the colors and treatment to sky, but it seems to compete a little with the bird. If it were mine, I might try a version with sky toned down a little ( maybe desaturation?) to see if it helps duck to stand out a bit more.

Hi Mitch, Wild and fun! Brendan makes a good suggestion regarding the sky. I like the flight pose and the comp. Looks like you added some texture to the duck.

Mitch, I love the duck, esp the texture - it looks like needlework. I think I'd like the duck better on the other side in the more subtle colors (facing into the scene of course).

It's a fun image and very colorful, Mitch. I agree that toning down the background would make the duck stand out a bit more.

Thanks Brendan, Denise, Cheryl, Paul, Maureen. I posted a slightly toned down version. Perhaps it needs more?

    Cheryl,

Thanks for your comments. When I first started to work on this pic, I did have the duck on the left side reversed and flying into the scene. It just didn't feel right so I flipped it and moved it to the right. I didn't save that version, but I may go back and try it again.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    Mitch
