    I converted the color image to B&W, then added a base texture/color. Then added several more textures (from Shadowhouse) using the marque tool to limit them to parts of the image, always maintaining the elephant in the base texture/color. Thanks Steve for the idea from your beautiful Nautilius image.

    Great capture and B&W conversion, Nancy! Like the pose, and your creative use of shapes, warm neutral colors, and textures really makes for a pleasing composition.

    Very cool Nancy and also very creative! I would have never thought to do that! I was hoping you would come home with some great shots to share and you did! Love this. I might add just a touch more grass where the feet are touching?

    Beautiful, Nancy. Love the background. I agree with Denise about adding a little grass back in near the feet. Really very creative image.

    Thanks everyone! I thought about the grass issue partway thru and it is nearly impossible to recapture something late in the process. I end up changing my mind and redoing the image too many times .
