Default BIF #7 - Eagle in the Early Morning Light

Down in Canning, Nova Scotia..there's a place called the Eagle Tree. During the right time of the year there can be upwards of 100+ eagles in the area. There are numerous chicken farms in the area, and the owners provide the birds with much needed food during the late fall and winter months. Also any road kill is brought to the area.

This makes for some spectacular images. Even after seeing hundreds of thes regal birds, I am always in awe when I see them up close.

I go down each fall for a family get together and always go looking for eagles.

This was taken in late afternoon, fairly large crop, Spicify Effect (button fixed) , removed Topaz Spicify halo, NR on background.
Not the best but one of my favourites....

    Thanks for looking.

Nice light, and love pose and POV, Paul. Beautiful eagle. Maybe a little more room all around, but very nice!

Paul, Nice pose and head angle. I like the light on the body, tail and head. I agree w/ Brendan -a little tight, maybe a vertical. You did great not getting a halo

The repost is perfect. I like the subtle filtering and the framing.
