Nice image Harold - this is the focal lenght I would expect to get this bird. I like the pose. How did Jill get such a sharp image with a FL of only 300MM?? Pileated wp's are tough to get close to, if you see one at all in this neck of the woods..My encounters over this years with this bird have been purely accidental.
