    Default Sharp stilt

Here is a black-necked stilt shot from this weekend. I was able to capture this delicate bird from close distance. These guys are very tough as they are small and fast and they often "hop" instead of flying. most of the frames end up having band wing positions.

The 1D4 AF preformed flawlessly and 10fps rapid firing makes it possible to capture the best pose.

Wonderful exposure and wing position on this tricky bird. Sharp and well composed. Hope to get an image like this one day. And would love 10fps.

Hats off Arash...This is stunning capture and that HD version is simply superb. Not a hint of noise in that HD version.

Gorgeous wing position, killer background, and love that open bill and the flying mud drops. Shoulder looks a little hot but that may simply be on my monitor. Excellent job!

Stunning shot, Arash. But of course we've come to expect that. Pose, sharpness, bg, colors and comp all combine here to make a masterful image, all the more so with this difficult species.

Wonderful image just love the contrast between the subject and BG and muddy water falling from the legs

lovely shot with your usual high quality.
I am not sold on the mud spots, I think removing them might look better.
If a non birder looked at this, would they know what they were? Or would they just think they
    were spots on the photo?

OK, so now you're the master of hopping bird shots as well as flight shots. Love the pose, impeccable sharpness and the complimentary background.

Another very good image Arash. Great light and I like the few water droplets on the right.

Beautiful capture Arash. Love the wing position. The colors and the detail are excellent, in particular on the HD version!
I'll have to join you next time you go shooting avocets and stilts, maybe some of your ability will rub off on me.
