    Dumay:

Lovely light, good BG, framing, pose with head free of wing merge.

The wings look a bit sharper than the head/eye area.

There are a few scattered round spots, which are probably natural in the BG, but I might clone stamp over them to smooth them out, esp. the ones right in front of the bird.

    Cheers

PS: Thanks for the reminder about backing up. I am pretty good, but it never hurts to revisit that critical area.

    Sorry to hear that, Dumay.
Very nice angle and details on this one.

Hi Mate, great DOF from between both wing tips, and I do like the flying posture. Overall, well exposed and nice and sharp. Killer BG too. Well captured.

Dumay, sad to hear about your loss of images. we all need to do back ups more frequently...something that I am also not very good at.

this is a great shot...angle is perfect. getting that kind of BG separation is so tough for large birds...the subject distance, u choise of aperture, f-length, BG distance.....everything alligned perfectly here. love when that happens.

Nice light and underwing detail. Sorry about the files, and I was unhappy at losing one RAW file recently. I bought a second hard drive yesterday just for photographs - so three things have to fail for me to lose everything.

Spectacular light, pose, sharpness, and underwing detail. Only distractions are the dark areas of the BKGR. Protect and defend cloning with a 40% hard brush can fix that problem.
