    I shot this image of a red finch perched on the fence in my backyard, just behind my feeder. Critiques welcome.

    Hi,

    I'd prefer to see a bit looser crop, with perhaps a little more room on the left. That might improve the detail on bird too. The head and breast are a bit fuzzy - looks a bit more like camera shake or movement of the bird's head, but could just be slightly oof. I like the seed on the wooden perch, but I'm not so keen on the bits of seed around the beak. I don't mind the angle of the perch, or the fact that it's not a natural one, but some might - as was mentioned to me regarding a Grackle I posted in the Avian forum recently. Great angle on the bird, and eye contact.
