    Default A spotted Deer in the wild

    This image was clicked at the Pench National Park, MP, India. Hand held with the 7D & 100-400 L
    Camera Canon EOS 7D
    Exposure 0.002 sec (1/640)
    Aperture f/5.6
    Focal Length 400 mm
    ISO Speed 2500
    Exposure Bias +1/3 EV

    Good image quality for ISO 2500 and the 7D.

    100-400mm at 400mm was to tight in my opinion. Clipping the antlers and cramping up the bottom of the face. Even if you were looking for just a head shot, going vertical and framing in some room to left and right of antler would give you nice view of the torso.

    Hi Robert, Though the comp was a bit tight, I kinda liked the framing with the antlers forming a "V" in mid frame and thought it gave a different perspective. I do have shots at wider angles, will post em later. Your points are well taken! Thanks

    Hi Sanjeev, IQ looks better, especially at high ISO. I agree with Robert's suggestions on the comp.
