White throated Kingfisher-on a wire
I know its not the best of perches but I could really get close to this one. Hand held with the 7D and 100-400 L. Appreciate your C & C.

Sanjeev:
Agree about the perch, but a very attractive fellow, not one I have seen before, impressive bill.
Sharp, well exposed. I might consider cropping a bit off the top, to reduce the apparent steep shooting angle.
When possible, images with the head angled slightly towards us tend to be more engaging.
Cheers

Hi,
I fully agree with Randy. I always prefer to see at least some natural habitat or background included in a bird portrait, to give it some context.

Wicked bird with a huge bill. The perch is what the perch is. Colors, SH, and EXP all good. Now get him on a clean perch neat the stream!
