    I have always been jealous of other peoples Wood duck images becuse I have nevere been able to get close to one, but that changed today as i was able to work with some all morning.

    I'd say so Don. Mr. Hamilton called me today and told me of your close encounter of a Wood Duck kind. Great pre-wing flap pose you captured here. Like the low POV. What where your tech specs?

    Sorry so excited about finally getting some images of these guys I forgot 1D MKIII, 500 f/4, 1/1250 at f/ 5.6, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metered + 2/3, ISO 400, Tripod, Cropped

    It's a real gem of a shot - wonderful colours and pose, the water droplets enhance further.
