    Looks like junior is sporting the grownup plumes. Captured in late afternoon/early evening light. Pretty severe crop.

    1D4, EF400mm f/5.6L
    Manual mode, f/5.6@1/500 ISO 800 WB 4900K

    Very cute! I do feel there's a little too much room on top. I'd try a square crop, I think it will suit the bird.

    Love the perch and subjects pose - might cut from the top. Beautiful eye and use of subtle colors - nice catch my friend.

    Great shot. I like the soft lighting. I like the perch but my eye is drawn to it more than the bird. I think a square crop with some off the top and bottom might focus more on the bird.

    Thanks guys! I did try several alternate crops and didn't like them as much... The main issue is that I can't stretch the pixels any farther without killing the IQ.
