    Default ***Osprey : a portrait***

    Taken last december in Florida.

    Canon EOS 7D Canon IS 600 mm 1:4,0 + TC 1,4 X - 1/800s f/11.0 iso800
    Kept 30% of the original

I had never noticed the blue line around the eye.

Constructive comments are welcome and appreciated!

    C&C : thanks! :D

    Yves:

Talk about an in your face bird! Pretty intense.

It is fun to see some of the finer details that get lost in full body shots, such as the fine spray of feathers beneath the bill, the blue around the eye you mentioned.

I would prefer the illumination to be a bit more even on the his left eye.

Good choice on f/stop to try and get as much in focus as possible.

Since you have a lot of canvas to play with, I might try a few looser variants, but it certainly gets your attention as is.

The maximum allowed dimensions for images are 1024 horizontal and 800 vertical, this one is 1024 tall. I noticed that the file size was only 98K. I would encourage you to push up the file size to the max allowed of 255 to get the best IQ!

    Cheers

    Randy
