Real Tiger photographed in India, March 2012. I wanted to emphasize the difficulty in seeing tigers in the golden environment of early spring before the plants turned green. I also wanted to show the coiled power of the tiger. I used Topaz B&W, high key III to remove the colors of the original image. Then I overlayed a fire texture (from CGTextures.com) and free transformed where I wanted. I reduced some of the fire effect on the tiger. Then I used Fractalius. Then with Topaz Adjust 5 I used shadow recovery and then sepia. I erased the effects on the eyes back to the B&W image.

Very cool effect, Nancy! I like how the tiger blends in yet you can still easily see it. Well done.

Wonderful effects, Nancy! Bringing back the eyes really adds the perfect organic element.

Super work Nancy, the image really conveys your thoughts! I would suggest bringing back some detail around the nose and mouth areas as well. Love the fracting and hot colors!

Thank you all! Kerry, I also thought about a bit more detail in the face.
