    Dan, only had one day of shooting, not enough time with it to answer your question, but they are completely different cameras.

    Alan, yep....100% crop is quite stunning. details and no noise(any NR done on BG in the 100% crop?). Nikon definitely seems to have the edge in sensor technology right now.

    Kaustubh, not a 100% crop, but quite a bit more I imagine. Slight gaussian blue on the BG.

    very nice Alan but it is not surprising. D800 has the best overall image sensor on the market for sure.

    That is pretty remarkable. Even your signature is tack sharp! Seriously though, that is just an impressive result from such a big crop.
