    From Soberania, Panama last month. A relatively common bird here, but new to me. Locally called Sangre de Toro for obvious reasons. Cropped from horizontal.

    Great color and eye contact. The vertical crop is perfect for the bird's pose, and the slightly blurred palms provide a fitting background.

    Love the pose and comp Bill, artistically this image rocks! I touch of fill-flash would have done wonders IMO. Very well done!

    Thanks everyone. I agree that the image could have benefited from a little fill flash. I struggled with light conditions throughout the Panama trip.
