    Default Vermillion Flycatcher

This bird was a lifer for me while spending several days in SE Arizona. Although this was one of the highlights, the real excitement came while trying to find the legendary Elegant Trogon at Patagonia Lake. On the second day of looking we encountered at fairly close range (~40 yes) an adult Mt. Lion. I failed to get a good shot, although I did foolishly try paralleling it for a while. My son got a nice shot but he won't let me post it!

so all you get is my word and this flycatcher image!

Wonderful shot. I like the perch. Nicely exposed and good detail. Were it mine I might consider taking a slivver off right and left to alter the proportions. Would love to see one of these guys someday. (I've been working on persuading my wife to go to Patagonia Lake. I don't think I'll mention the mountain lion.)

Great bird and perch. I do find the bkgd a bit rough with the blacks.

Superb colors and a very complimentary BG.
I don't mind the blacks in the BG at all.
It just sets off the Red even better.
    Very nice perch and comp.
