Spent several days last summer down by the river at Myakka River State Park when the water was really low waiting for gator action. Good things sometimes come to those who wait.

Nicely timed Marina. Crisp and sharp. I like the color and texture transition of the water from top/back to bottom/front. Also like the streaming/flying water coming off the gar. Would've been really cool to get the snout of the fish free and clear to show the similar build of these two species. I'm assuming the gator is chomping on a fish the he already caught rather than the fish just happening to jump into/through the mouth?

    Marina,

What a remarkable early morning for me, I only hope I can come up with anything half as good as this in the next few weeks. Truly amazing

Simply awesome! Super low angle, nice soft light, crucial timing! My first thought was that the fish was jumping into its mouth (which I knew wasn't the case, but it's a cool impression to create first-up). Congrats on the honours too.

    Well done from me!

Tremendous image. Brilliant timing - there's an award waiting for it somewhere. Your patience paid off in spades.

Wish I had something more technical to say but I really don't.
