    Default Tri Color in Flight

I took both my 1D III and a 7D to Wakodahatchee the other day to make a decision on which one I was going to keep and after making some adjustments to the 1D III AF I was able to pretty much match the 7D in getting sharp flight images so I have decided to keep the 1D III. Now the interesting thing about this is last month this would not have been the case as I was struggling with the 1D III All Servo AF but I then dropped both the camera and my 500 f/4 with a 1.4 tc to the ground and had to send the camera along with the 1.4 to Canon for repair and both the camera and 1.4 seem to be better now then when I bought them.

Don, nice flight pose and colors. Love the clouds in the sky, but would take a bit of the top.

Hi Don, good timing for the take off, and the pose reminds me of a gymnast landing at the end of a springboard. I like the colours of the bill, head and neck, and overall, nice and sharp. I feel there is too much space above, and taking off at least half wont harm the image, or affect the comp for space to fly into.

wow Don, I love the expression on its face and the pose - would love to see it as a pano - cropped with just a little of the trees showing, and less of the sky...

Very nice shot. Another vote for cropping off the top. Tack sharp. I did not know that the bill was so blue. Are these breeding colors? I would also do some NR on the trees. well done,
    Gail

Very nice shot. Great pose, very nice light, sharp, and I really like the background.
    Well done.
