White-faced capuchin with noni fruit Costa Rica
Just back from a trip to Costa Rica and a brief visit to the desert. I was without a tripod for the first 5 days of the trip and had to make do with higher ISO's or massive repetition, or both, in order to make sharp images. This cooperative monkey gave me many opportunities as she plucked this large fruit from a tree and ate it at close range.

Beautiful photo. Exposure, detal and color are all first-rate. That diagonal branch in the upper left seems to create an uncomfortable pressure point in the photo (to me) and I think I would work to reduce its impact (cloning, cropping a bit). Still, a highly effective shot. Regard my comments regarding the branch as a minor point.
She certainly looks content and proud of her meal. This one makes me smile looking at it with those tiny little bites taken out of the fruit and the look on her face. Regarding the branch in the UL corner, I'd like to see a version without it as I like the BG and keep wanting to push the monkey and branch together like a puzzle (the little nub of the branch into the neck/shoulder area).

Great capture Milo,
Love the composition, details of subject and colors. The background is ok with me, it acts as a natural frame for Mr. Monkey and it balances him within the frame...:D
CONGRATS... keep them coming...:)
I'm with the crew that sees that branch as an intrusion in this particular image, but a relatively minor intrusion. Overall, I really like this one; you caught it at just the right time!
