Default The much-maligned Canada Goose, shown in a flattering light

Greetings folks, this picture was taken the other day with the Canon 7D and 70-300L at 200mm. iso400, 1/640, f5.6...I'm a great fan of this bird, particularly when you catch the goose in such fine light as this...I'd be curious to hear from you with suggestions and comments. Your ideas are always truly appreciated by me. I learn a lot from you fine folks. I didn't do much to the photo: levels adjustment, curves, usm. Many thanks for looking...

Interesting environment you have included behind this goose, and I like it. I would however have liked to see a tad more space in front of the goose and maybe some off of the back and bottom. Your goose looks nice and sharp, and I am okay with it's rump being in more shade than the head.

Yes Marina, this was the first shot I took. Afterwards, I zoomed out so as to include more room around the bird, but then my goosefriend turned away...such is life in the world of geese and light and pictures. Thank you kindly for your comments.

Very nice shot. I love the light, great pose, like the habitat, and very nice detail.
    Well done.
