    Ian,

    I would have preferred the crop at top to be more open and not cut off the diagonal line of trees TR.

    Try a s-curve and amp up the whites some. I tried it and it makes the BG trees pop.

    A would sharpen some more.

    Nice leading line with the water. I feel amping up contrast gives it a nice graphic quality.

    Hi Ian, I too would like to see a little more up top. I like the way the river is entering the scene and wonder if a vertical comp would have emphasized this element of the scene differently.

    A color version of this might be a good candidate for the current out of the box challenge.

    Thanks. When I get a chance, I'll play with it a bit. I never really liked it in color.
