Having fun with my new 5D Mark III with the multiple exposure feature. This Purple Leaf Plum Tree is from my backyard.

Love the soft light and the explosion of blooms (not the loud kind... but the pillow fight kind ). Wonderful Spring image, Denise! Curious as to - how many exposures and what type of movement?

Steve, Thank you so much and good questions, I should have included that info in my post. I used 3 images( my tree was in full bloom or I would have added more exposures) and I moved my camera between shots very slightly. I tried not to do a rotation style movement so that I didn't get that swirled look.

Thanks Denise. Neat technique. With this particular image/technique... I especially like that you have a result that doesn't give away that it is a multiple exposure ( any repeating elements blend so nicely).

I've probably looked longer at this image than any other that's been posted here. One reason is that I like the colors and composition. In addition, it's fun trying to figure out just how you did it. My default guess was two exposures, but I quickly derived that it was three. It looked at first like you proceeded from right to left, but I'm not so sure about that. I'll probably come back and work on that some more.

Its very different, sharp, blurry, colorful, were still at least 4 weeks away from trees blooming, their just barely budding here..not really sure what you did though but I'll read up on that Canon 5d feature...TFS

Hi Denise, quite lovely. The colors are beautiful..I bet it smells great too. I always love when the wild apple trees around my home bloom and their scent fills the air.

Very nice, Denise...it straddles the line between a natural capture and an artistic abstract...not an easy fence to sit on at times! Well done.

Denise, sorry I'm late to the show. I could look at this forever. It's very impressionistic (which I love) as well as abstract. I especially like the little hints of blue and green that are peeking through. I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a 5D and hope it is shipped soon
