One-horned Rhino in the wild
Clicked at the Kaziranga National Park, Assam, India from an elephant safari, Hand held. It was a bumpy ride on the elephant and difficult to shoot but could manage well with the 100 2.8 Macro L. It was evening time and the light was good.

Sanjeeve,
Excellent techs. Great DOF and brilliant pose. Not much to improve in this image.
Only thing that comes to my mind is to clone out dry weeds in lower right corner.

Sanjeev,
Great image, I am not generally a fan of sitting on an Elephant trying to hold a camera, but this image proves that you can get some interesting angles!
Why did you post it here rather than Wildlife?

Hi Ken, Thanks for your encouraging words. Elephant rides arent the best for photography, but it allowed me to get real close to the animals. I had my 100-400 L on my 7D but I changed to the 100 2.8 L as it had a wider aperture and better IS than the 100-400. And I got some interesting shots! Will post in Wildlife hence forth, I am an amateur hence i thought Id get more tips here

Ken, I'm interested in your comment. Is ETL only supposed to be for birds?
As for the image, I really like it Sanjeev. I would be inclined to take a bit off the top to emphasize the rhino. Techs are good.

Ian,
Not to sure how you came to the conclusion you did?
Sanjeev has already started some threads in the Wildlife forum, where I believe his images should be, hope this clarifies things.

Sanjeev- Great find. Beautiful light and beautifully sharp. I like the environment but the subject is strong enough to deserve a tighter crop as an alternative to this one. That would eliminate the offending weeds mentioned by Sid.
BTW, as an ETL moderator I encourage any and all to post here as well as in other forums. At the very least you might get a different perspective on an image. Thanks for posting here Sanjeev!
