Default At the end of the rainbow...

    Attached Images Attached Images

...you will find a herd of buffalo.
Go into the midst of them buck naked and barefoot, and yank every bull by the tail...and they will step aside to reveal the pot of gold!

Taken back in 2010 during a visit to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa. We drove through pelting rain when all of a sudden it cleared up as we entered a clearing, with a massive double rainbow forming and the light hitting a small herd of buffalo that were lounging about.

I posted a very wide angle of this scene from another POV here:

    Nikon D300s with 24-70mm f2.8 @ 70mm
    f4.0 @ 1/2500 SS @ ISO-400

    Morkel,

I thought I remembered something similar from the past. This is IMHO very nice indeed, i actually love the colour of the posterior

    Hi Morkel,
The rainbow makes the image. I might have removed a wee bit off the bottom to make more of a pano crop??!!! just to see the difference.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes for a happy Easter,
    Mark.

Morkel - you seized the moment. The rainbow is great and so is the light.

The image works very well Morkel, one of your best, with truck loads of interest.

Nice shot Morkel, can almost smell the fresh rain. The tree on the right and lying down buff provide a nice bookend for the shot.

Agree with others, well done, especially under difficult lighting.
I prefer this one much more over the other one you posted (referenced above). Here your closer POV and more sun on this one gives it much more pop and generally more interesting.
