    Default Snackin' and Smackin'

This guy had issues with another ram just out of frame. With his back slightly turned while grazing, he suddenly wheeled up and about to smack horns with his rival. Two hits and both went back to eating. This one had a large cut across the left side of his face and his eye seemed flat and dead. May be why he has his head angled this way. This was one of the last shots of the day, as the light was quickly fading and I had this one in the trash bin until I noticed I didn't have any other head on, standing up shots. Decided to see what I could come up with and was some what happy with the results. Will be on the lookout for a better quality replacement in the future. 7D, 400DO, f4.5, 1/200s, ISO 1600, +2/3 EC, HH, cropped some all around, mostly from bottom and right as viewed.

    Steve,
Great action here and I like the head angle, He certainly seems intent on some mischief

Great pose/timing here Steve, and I love the complementary colours all around.
I did a 'screen crop' and liked it with a little off the top as well, given the downward motion (implied) of his next move.

    Hi Steve,
I like the pose you achieved and the composition in the image. It might be worth trying Morkel's suggestion to see the difference.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes,
    Mark.

Steve - great action captured. Given slow ss and high ISO, you did well here. Morkel's suggestion is worth a look.

Hi Steve, great moment capture, a 'classic' stance giving the image character. Would agree on Morkels suggestion of an alternative crop.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I like the suggestion of a little off top.
