    Default White fronted Bee-eater

I visited my favourite location today - Pilanesberg National Park. I had heard from some of my photographic friends that these bee- eaters were visiting the area, and I can say that this is a first for this location. These Bee-eaters kept us busy for quite a while, that we forgot about our favourite kingfishers that were always present. It was great to capture them against different BG's. This image was a random image I chose to work on, and I hope you like it.

Absolutely lovely. Love the IQ and the diagonal line of perch and that oh so awesome Pilanesberg BG,

Might clone out the conical bit of protruding wood from the perch under the bird. At first I thought it was the bird's toe!

What a beautiful bird! Perfect sharpness on the whole subject, the light is superb, as is the attitude of the bee-eater. Congratulations.

    A beautiful photo, Stuart.
The bird and perch are terrific, I think it looks a bit cramped though, a little more room at the top might look nice.

Superb. I cannot imagine the lighting to get any better than this. Image quality, DOF and background is first class.

    Hi Stuart

I have always wanted to photograph bee eaters and hopefully will be able to rectify this with a trip I have planned to Hungary in the beginning of June. This is a beautiful image where beautiful light and bird and an interesting perch all come together in a very fine image. I would personally have been tempted to have a little more space at the top but apart from that faultless.

    Cheers

Good job, Stu. Nice to see a new Mankwe species. Love the puffed up plumage - warming up in the morning sun waiting for the insects to get moving? Great BG. Agree on a little more room.

Great capture ,Stuart.Bee-eaters are always a delight and you portrayed the beauty of this bird here beautifully.Perhaps it is my screen , but I would brighten the image ever so slightly if it were mine.
