    This image was created in the morning at 10:03am in Kachemak National Park, Kenai Peninsula, opposite Homer, Alaska.

    Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS lens and TC 1.4x II at 150mm, and the EOS-1DMIV. ISO 400. Evaluative metering: 1/2500 sec. at f/5.0 set manually.

    Very nice photo, Clemens, I am amazed you get this close to these.
    The SS is perfect, the water drops are very nice.

    Hi Clemens,
    Great light and splash and extended talons. Terrific IQ. Just wish the shoreline wasn't there as I find it pulls the eye away from the eagle,

    This is excellent, love the light and splash and dynamic pose, since this is a habitat/enviroment shot I'm fine with the shoreline

    What a wonderful, dynamic shot. The splash is a great bonus. Without the splash I would have wanted the bird further left in the frame. Even with it, I could imagine shifting the bird (and the splash) slightly to the left and up (more right and bottom). Superb shot in any event.
