    Default Intentional Blur of Gull in Flight

    I'm curious if this constitutes as a successful bird in flight blur shot. If not, I'd really love to hear your suggestions for improvement. Exif data is as follows:
    Camera Nikon D300
    Exposure 0.017 sec (1/60)
    Aperture f/6.7
    Focal Length 500 mm
    ISO Speed 200
    Exposure Bias 0 EV

    Cynthis this is a nice attempt, the softness of the gull and the light background work well, only thing that stops this from being workable is "that there is little of no detail in the face". Others may disagree. I normally focus on the head, panning with the bird, while I shoot my images, thereby the head is in relative clearer focus and the rest of the body is lightly blurred.

    Hi Cynthia, I agree with Paul since that is the type of image I would prefer. Personal preferences do come into play also...
