    Default Taj Mahal impression

I have just returned from a wonderful trip to India. During 3 weeks of birds and tigers, I took a day off for a visit to the very impressive Taj Mahal. The base image is 3 images combined in Nik HDR, then fractalius. I do wish I did not have that blob of a tree on the far right.

Although I've started to use Fractalius in many images, I'm not usually a fan of it really jumping out at me. In this case, however, it works very well. I like this. The range of colors is good, and I like the broad outlines of the shapes. The tree on the right doesn't bother me all that much, but -- if I wanted to have it blend in more with the rest of the image, I might select the effect from the inner part of the dome, enlarge it a bit, move it down to the tree and mask off what didn't fit.

Dennis, You had a great idea about that tree blob. I didn't do exactly as you suggested but I made it go away with some cloning and cropping.

I like the fract work with the contrasting dark and light fract effect. Nice job on the repost!

Hi Nancy, the repost is well handled. I might take out the small horizontal lines on the very top...
