    I was lucky to catch this Harrier in morning light. Canon 7D ES 400 ISO 400 1/100 @ f 8 EV +1 Comments appreciated.

    Hi Ken, you did a nice job of capturing the flight pose and prey. I would wish for more room on the right for the harrier to move into. Were you shooting RAW here? The exposure is way high, 1/100@f/8 is more appropriate for shadows with no direct light. I know the 7D400 kit very well, and I would be shooting more like f/5.6 (to get the shutter speed up) and 1/3200. The red and green channels are toasted at this EV, which gives the image a blown-out look and a very yellow color rendition. Detail is lost in the blacks, you might be able to save them in PS or LR. I'm very surprised that you caught the action at this shutter speed - is it a typo?
