A couple of Australian Wood Duck ducklings. Very concerned because their parents had flown away for morning chores. A quandary as to which way to crop- left or right?
Removed some juicy bird poo from the rock.

This image has a great cuteness factor. The ducklings appear soft ( photographically) and I would sharpen them more. I think I would prefer more room the the left as you would see more of the nice blue BG,

Very lovely image. I really like the poses on both ducklings, great blue background, and I really like the mound they are on.
    Well done.

Very cute. The image would be stronger if the standing bird was looking back a bit.

Centered might work.... Part of the problem here stems from the fact that sharpest focus is on the rear bird.... It is almost always best to focus on the closest of two subjects.... Selectively sharpening the face of the front duckling would help.

If that's the case Artie, I might need to micro-adjust the lens to camera. The front bird's head was smack in the middle of the single AF point used.

What about a vertical crop? It's just an idea...

AI Servo or One Shot? Tripod or hand held?

That is a very bad combo unless the lens is totally braced say on your knee. If standing your body movement and even breathing is enough to throw off focus. If you must hand hold and are not completely braced it is best to be in AI Servo AF...
