    Ian, nice shot. excellent AF job. The 'landing gear down' pose is great. Whites look perfect. Looks like you were very close. Not sure if you have room in orig...if so, try placing the bird a bit higher in the frame. It is landing so more room down. Plus the water is beautiful and including more of it might be a good idea.

    Superb sharpness and exposure. Sweet light and background. I'd love some more room in front of the bird but I suspect that you only have more room behind the bird. Bad luck with the bill merging with the black of the far wing and bad luck with the faint shoreline intersecting with the bird just below the head.

    Lovely pose and excellent whites. I wish the curved bill wasn't lost in the dark feathers but still a great shot,

    very nice Ian, I like the pose and BG I wish the beak had not merged with far wing but still very nice. BTW, I'd use a finer radius sharpening for these guys. nice BG but would clone out a few water drops and move the bird to the left
