    Default Bonaparte's Gull

Here's a basic plumage adult Bonaparte's Gull, one of the best looking North American gulls in my opinion.

Ryan, excellent techs and composition. I am liking the shadow of the open bill. Can it benefit by a color sat boost? Most of the bonapartes I have seen here in the winter have more colorful legs.

Thanks Kaustubh. Bonaparte's Gulls' leg colors greatly varies here, especially in the winter, from dull pink to almost gray, to nearly 'Little Gull-like' reddish pink. This bird has particularly dull legs.

Sweet shot, Ryan. I too like the shadow of the open bill. Great portrait of this handsome gull. I like your choice of a somewhat pano crop.

Hi Ryan, good flying posture with the head clear of the far wing. Well exposed, and I like how the gulls stands out from the grey BG. Well placed in the frame too.

No nits from me. Good wing position and BG. I, too, like the shadow on the wing,

Excellent image. I really like the flight pose, exposed very well, great wing position, and very nice detail.
    Well done.
