    nice pose and image,like the colors,but I see noise in BG and on the bird,is this a big crop,I use the same gear as you.thanks.

    Hi Ian, Good perspective and good pose. I can see artifacting too in the OOF areas possibly due to sharpening in PP? I would think about rotating slightly so that the ripples are more horizontal in the frame without making the bird appear to be at a weird angle.

    Hi Ian, you know I love preening shots - good catch on this one! The image looks a little "crispy" to me, strong light and some black areas in shadow - a difficult mix at best. I see sharpening haloes, very visible around the bill. I'm having a hard time deciding about the level of the water, the ripples seem off but the reflections look true so it's hard to say! I like the pose and the color rendition. If you have canvas on the left I would suggest moving the bird over to the right in the frame.
