Stunning shot! Great sharpness and detail! WOW

One of my favorite images from the eagle series you have. Best perch ever, open beak, nice IQ and so on. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Alan, what a great calling pose, and you have exposed the eagle nicely, especially the darker plumage. Tack sharp, and I do like the 'fossilized' looking perch, together with the surrounding snow.

oh man super pose exposure and details

Superb shot!!! Excellent pose, amazing detail, and exposed perfectly.
Well done.
The perch is beautiful and I like the calling pose. The colors seem a bit off to me ie. the feathers are too black. Perhaps Alaska eagles have a different color plumage than Nova Scotia eagles? I would also back off a bit on the detail extractor as I find the whites feathers on the head a bit unnatural looking ( look like they are painted rather than photographed).
I do like the BG of whites and blues as well,
Gail
Excellent image Alan! I like the pose, perch, IQ and setting.
Stunning. Love the calling pose, the talons gripping that wonderful perch, the almost high-key look to the image. I can see Gail's point about the detail on the head, but a fantastic image all around.
Alan,
You took eagle photography to next level. Brilliant work.

This is instant fev Alan...Perfect on all counts!
I just love how the shape of the perch mirrors the curve of the eagle's back. Such an artistic, lovely image.
Exellent image quality, great details and sharpness.
Excellent pose ...it does not get much better.
Alan, absolutely stunning. Did you set this perch up? if so, great choice. You and Robert Otoole must have clicked at the same time. His newsletter had a very similar shot.
pose, iq, angle, composition....an image of the highest quality.
lovely collection of b.e. shots on your website. staggering, really. i must see them some day. i dream of alaska, you know. sight unseen, thus far.
Kaustubh asked for me and I can't believe you found such an awesome perch . Leave it to you Alan, You rock. Just a super shot love the feel and great detail
Loved it! Quite different from the usual shots
