Is he smiling?

I took this photo last week in Cape Coral. There were a pair and this one kept getting swooped by a mocking bird and was not staying still very much. I think the Mockingbirds had a nest nearby. Finally it left him alone and I got this shot and it seems like he is smiling.
Shot with my Sony A100 in RAW but I seemed to have lost the medidata. I think I was shooting auto mode. Thanks for looking, John

Hi John !!! I think that is as much a smile as you will get out of those birds !!!! Would suggest posting at max size Difficult to judge at that size do like the pose and having legs clearly visible Might be slightly tight in frame Good exp and detail !!!

I think I see a little grin. Agree with Alfred's points, on the tight framing and the post sizing.
For these guys I like to lay on the ground using a blubb to get a nice soft BG, if you try it, watch out for the fire ants!

Look like a cool expression, but it is really hard to tell much at this size.

Hope you will repost this bigger as suggested. I think he is smiling because at his tiny size he probably doesn't get to intimidate any other creature very often!

Very hard to critique with such a small posting size, but as is I would get rid of the white distraction in LLC. I too think it is smiling!! :-)
