    Lovely bird and tack sharp. I know that this is their natural environment but the BG is not the nicest. I would clean up the white bits in th Bg on right side and maybe try a Gaussian blur to soften the BG. I would also clean up the water,

    Wow. Long legs. Excellent job on exposure with details in blacks and whites. I second the comment about the bg. I like the idea of all water or all land and laying flat in mud (?) might have given all land. Nice and sharp. Looking forward to more.

    Thanks Gail and Dave,
    I agree on the BG, this was the natural habitat of the bird, at a drying lake in near Jaipur, India. It was really mucky, so I couldn't lay flat :-(

    Real nice shot. I really like the pose, real nice control on the whites and blacks, and I like the soft even light.
